Arriving in Azerbaijan makes the first annoying border crossing of our tour: We have to unpack everything to have it scanned – however the device is not suited for our amount of luggage. While we are still busy carrying new bags, the first ones already start falling to the ground. With all ur electronic devices inside, great... Next, the officer notices a problem with our visa. Which means he just noticed a problem with his empty wallet and we should serve as a solution. We tried hard, but could not recognize any problem with the visa... With more and more peple waiting behind us, we finally are allowed to enter the country.

Georgia starts with three surprises for us: Directly at the border we meet other touring cyclists and decide to continue together towards Batumi. The city exceeds our expectations - ultramodern and casinos without end. In addition, we see the first Christmas decorations - and realize we could have missed this during our time in Turkey...
